Professor McCarthy is the Founder and Director of the Center for Teaching Peace. He has written articles for the Washington Post for over 25 years. He is on the adjunct faculty at American University, Georgetown University Law Center, the University of Maryland, and he teaches a daily class at Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School. His books include All of One Peace: Essays on Nonviolence and Involvements: One Journalist's Place in the World.
