Tuition
Non-credit Tuition: $735 per course.
If you are planning on attending our courses for academic credit, please consult your academic advisor. Each course is worth 2 credit hours.
Application Deadline
International participants interested in attending should apply as soon as possible. Please call 202.885.2014 or email pcrinst@american.edu for more detailed information.
Applications can be found on the PDI website.
International Participants
Participants who are not citizens or permanent residents of the United States are responsible for obtaining necessary visas. We strongly recommend overseas applicants to apply at least 2-3 months before the Summer Institute begins.
Financial Aid
There are a limited number of need-based tuition scholarships available. The scholarship will pay for one week of tuition, and participants will be responsible for paying for the second week, at least. Please note that PDI can only provide scholarships for tuition; we are unable to cover airfare, housing, or other additional costs. The scholarship deadline is Friday, April 28th, 2007.
PDI will also provide advice and guidance on fundraising options through outside sources in an effort to ensure that all applicants have the opportunity to participate in the Summer Institute.
Housing
On-campus housing is available on a limited basis. Sign up early to take advantage of the on-campus housing option. The applicants are responsible for securing their own housing arrangements. For more information, please contact the Summer Housing Office directly at (1-202) 885-3370, or email
summerhousing@american.edu.
