PDI's Summer Professional Training Program is one of the first academic programs specifically organized to bridge the two fields of peacebuilding and development.  The courses are open to AU students as well as individuals living and working in the field worldwide. 

This year's program will be held in Washington, DC from June 1 - June 19, 2009. 

Week I: June 1 - June 5, 2009

Course 1: Linking Conflict, Aid & Development
Course 2: Inclusive Security: Expanding Participation of Women in Peace Processes
Course 3: Security & Protection in the NGO Sector

Week III: June 15 - 19, 2009

Course 1: Program Design: Planning Projects to Evaluate Impact
Course 2: Monitoring & Evaluation as Learning Disciplines for Peacebuilding
